The Beehive Salon uses the Infinity Sun Tanning system (as seen on the Sunset Tan TV show). SUNLESS TANNING TIPS - BEFORE & AFTER BASICS
Before Your Tanning Session...
- Shower & exfoliate before - NO make-up, NO lotions, NO perfumes! Exfoliating before your treatment helps remove dry, flaky skin that causes uneven tanning. If you have extremely dry skin, you may want to exfoliate twice over a 48 hour period. Avoid high pH products like bar soaps that stop the DHA bronzing reaction. Do not use oil-based exfoliates. Use our Infinity Sun Skin Renewing Exfoliant for best results. ($25)
- Wax or shave at least one day prior
- On the day of your treatment, wear dark, loose fitting clothing. If a small amount of solution gets on your clothes, not to worry, it washes out. Wear flip-flops or loose sandals. No socks or boots right after tanning.
- Schedule waxing appointments at least one day prior to your tan.
After Your Tanning Session...
- Immediately after your spray tanning session, avoid activities that may cause you to sweat excessively. This prevents streaking. Wait until after your first post-tan shower to exercise.
- After your tan, wait 8-12 hours before you shower. Showering sooner may diminish the intensity of the tan. Scrubbing, exfoliating, shaving waxing will cause the tan to fade or streak.
- Swimming and soaking in pools, hot tubs and saltwater dry out your skin and shorten the life of your tan.
- The more you moisturize, the longer your tan will last.
- To prevent fading after your tanning treatment and daily thereafter, use the alcohol-free sunless tanning aerosol, created with seven essential oils, Vitamin A and Vitamin E. Use our Infinity Sun Timeless Hydrating Extender, $25.
